MyClosingCalc is an independent editorial project dedicated to making real estate closing costs and transfer taxes transparent for buyers, sellers, attorneys, and agents across the United States. Our calculators are built by researchers who track state and municipal recording fee schedules, title insurance rate filings, and mansion/transfer tax statutes — not licensed attorneys or CPAs, but people who read the source documents so you don't have to.

Our tools implement the exact tax brackets and fee formulas published by state departments of taxation, county clerks, and title insurance rating bureaus. We don't guess. We don't use AI to generate numbers. We read the statutes, the promulgated rate schedules, and the recording fee tables — and we build logic engines that apply those rules to your specific transaction.

When rates change — and they do, often annually — we update our data files before the new calendar year begins.
